David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Acclaimed young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A representative for the company stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an review of reports of questionable actions towards female individuals.
The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
He has published in excess of 40 works in total, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
