Two Individuals Accused with Prison Murder of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins
Two men have been formally charged with murder following the jailhouse death of ex-Lostprophets frontman and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 have both been charged with murder and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by police authorities.
Watkins, 48 years old, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes which included the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was taken into custody following a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were confiscated.
